A country house made from a cabin: how to equip it correctly? Modular buildings House of three cabins.

An inexpensive turnkey house made up of cabins in Moscow with guaranteed original facades solves the problem of arranging a site. Standard projects for your suburban area at low prices from the manufacturer of Change Houses in the Russian Federation will help you quickly and efficiently equip it for a comfortable stay.

Inexpensive houses from cabins in Moscow

Compared to classic capital construction projects, country and garden cabins based on ready-made designs in a modern style are built faster, look more elegant, and last longer. At the same time, each trailer already has ready-made interiors, wiring of engineering systems and decorated facades. Therefore, the professional assembly of a modular building from these large-sized assembly units takes a week at most and provides sufficient comfort for country life.

Typical projects of a manufacturer of change houses in the Russian Federation with real operating experience in the region are:

  • one-story buildings of standard and improved layout;
  • two-story winter houses of increased comfort;
  • options with attics, terraces, porches and verandas;
  • modular buildings made of wooden and metal cabins.

Unlike a classic cottage, an inexpensive summer cottage with delivery and installation remains a mobile solution. That is, it can be built and then moved around the site at any time, for example, when repairing the foundation, and transported to new sites.

If the owner decides to build a brick building, and further operation of the modular house is no longer feasible, the RF Change House company will buy the assembly units at their residual value after dismantling the entire structure.

Layout and interiors

By default, standard projects that already have operational experience in the Moscow region and have proven their viability are included in a house made of cabins for permanent residence. If necessary, you can carry out the redevelopment yourself, or our specialist will do it at the design stage. The latter option will allow you to comply with the requirements of construction and sanitary standards, fire safety regulations.

The cheapest construction option is a residential building consisting of two cabins on the same level (one-story). If necessary, original technical solutions are used to increase usable area without increasing the budget:

  • operated roof;
  • multi-level terraces/balconies;
  • attic;
  • panoramic glazing;
  • transformable walls.

The main advantages of the technology are project support by an employee of the manufacturer and factory assembly of elements of power structures under the control of quality control departments.

Number of storeys and facades

Regardless of the construction technology, country wooden cabins with assembly on site are regulated by the number of storeys by current legislation. For the private sector, 3 floors are allowed plus an attic, which is not considered a full level, but significantly increases the working space of the house.

A cheap change house for an economy class summer cottage has a limitation - it is very difficult to create a full-fledged underground floor under them. It either turns out to be more expensive than the building itself, or is present in a truncated form - basements under the rooms. For example, a wine cellar under the kitchen will improve the quality of life by an order of magnitude.

After professional insulation, the module becomes suitable for year-round use. Facade and interior cladding can be repaired and replaced without reducing the service life of load-bearing structures.

Finished projects

Our employees design custom-made change houses with a stove and insulation for year-round use. When developing a site, outbuildings are also necessary. Therefore, if you order them simultaneously with the prefabricated housing project, you can save a significant part of the budget:

  • prices will become individual;
  • When completing large objects, the customer receives additional discounts from the company.

A change house, by its definition, is not a “forever” acquisition, but a temporary one. Often such structures accompany global buildings. But, as they say in popular wisdom, there is nothing more permanent than temporary. And then a simple change house is no longer perceived as a temporary shelter, but a real country house.

It’s good for those who decided right away that a change house was enough for him to give. You can dream of a full-fledged home, but not be interrupted by the lack of furnishings in the cabin: it is interesting and useful to make a cozy country house out of it with your own hands.

What types of cabins are there?

The choice today is not so scarce; you can find a housing option that can be modestly and as succinctly equipped as possible for temporary living. You can not limit yourself to this pass-through option, but purchase a change house that will turn into a real country house. Yes, a small but large dacha is, rather, a wish rather than a strict condition for a country home.

The cabins are divided into the following options:

  • intended for country utility premises;
  • residential, in which workers or the owner are temporarily located;
  • as an office for the construction manager.

Finally, there are construction cabins, country cabins, and also a group called block containers. Structurally, they can be panel, timber, frame. Although not the most respectable buildings in appearance, if they are properly decorated, they turn into cozy country houses. They can be equipped with a mini-bathroom and zoned inside.

Not all containers are strictly metal, although the word itself is associated with this material. The walls and ceiling of modern cabins of this type are insulated and finished on all sides. Metal structures are used for construction, but wooden ones are easier to convert into a country house. Some people use the wooden version as a utility room, others as a summer kitchen, but many live in them for the entire summer season.

It’s easy to guess that wooden structures are warmer and weigh less than metal ones. Both outside and inside they are decorated with wooden lining. The dimensions and sizes of windows for both metal and wooden household structures are the same.

The service life of the block container is 15 years.

Moreover, craftsmen even build modular houses from these structures, connecting them to each other, removing partitions. If you think through the project, involve specialists or simply experienced people in the project, you can get a two-story structure with a terrace.

Special dacha structures can be wooden or metal. The inside can be finished with classic wooden lining or fiberboard, which is cheaper. If we talk about lining, then a change house finished with it will be more suitable for living. If you purchase a ready-made country house, then it will include a room, and even a toilet, shower, and utility unit.

There are different options for country cabins.

  • Shield ones. The cheapest houses are not designed for long-term use, but their owners often purchase them as a temporary shelter while the main house is being built. For the exterior finishing of such structures, lining is usually used; the inside walls are sheathed with fiberboard. The insulation is glass wool or polystyrene foam.

  • Frame. More expensive than the previous option, but also stronger. The basis is a wooden beam, which makes the structure stable. Interior and exterior decoration differ in the options offered - from fiberboard and plywood to lining. The floor in a frame building is usually double, consisting of two types of boards - rough and finishing. Mineral wool was chosen as insulation.

  • Timber. The most expensive option for a country house. The walls are traditionally unfinished, but the doors, ceiling and partitions inside the room are lined with clapboard. The roof can be single-pitched or gable.

When you decide on the type and purchase your own cabin, ideas for its design will become relevant. After all, it is the arrangement, thoughtful interior, decor, and not just the interior and exterior decoration that turn the “box” into a country house.

Site preparation

These are mandatory actions, and they are needed so that a real swamp does not form under the cabin. Plant and animal remains can rot in the fertile soil layer, and this cannot be allowed. If the change house is already standing and has been lived in, it is extremely difficult to remove rotting products.

Features of the internal arrangement

Experienced people, using the example of their successes and failures, can tell what mistakes can be avoided when converting a change house into a garden or country house. But you don’t have to go through the entire construction experience yourself; you can use ready-made little tricks.

  • If you increase the size of the windows, the issue with illumination will be resolved; in a bright room everything looks more solid. Sliding structures are also used in country houses, which simultaneously serve as both a window and a door.

  • If the change house has a flat ceiling, you can organize the second floor there according to the principle of a bunk bed. By the way, it is usually organized for a sleeping place.

  • Saves space and builds a bed on a dresser. The chest of drawers itself can be made quite tall and roomy. Built-in furniture is a common solution in a country house, because it should be as functional as possible.

  • If you know that guests may come to your place, and even spend the night, you can attach hammock mounts to the wall ahead of time. At the right time, you simply take it out and hang it up. If the cabin is spacious enough, then a hammock, bright and colorful, can simply decorate its interior.

  • If you extend the width of the window sill, you can get a miniature kitchen table. Make shelves and doors underneath for kitchen utensils.

  • Nail narrow shelves on the walls for decoration. Vases, books, ceramics, toys - anything that makes the space cute and cozy. Some things migrate from a city apartment to a dacha and take on a new life there.

  • If you have a full-fledged kitchen or dining table, you can make a beautiful textile lampshade for the lamp above it. It will be very atmospheric and will definitely suit the country style.

  • If you decorate all the surfaces of the shed with the same material, this will erase the boundaries between them - visually the room will look more spacious.

  • You shouldn’t build bulky partitions in your shed if you can hang beautiful curtains. And the boho style, which appeals to this decision, is in fashion today.

But the best examples are visuals, photos and illustrations that more eloquently show how other people were able to make a beautiful country house out of an ordinary cabin. And this country house is attractive not only from the outside, but also from the inside.

Successful examples

If the example cannot be used in its entirety, then even some of the details in it can be “grabbed” as an idea that will take root in your country house.

10 interiors of cabins that have become beautiful country houses.

  • Wooden trim inside makes the house cozy and bright. This house has one sleeping place, but it is possible that there is a transformable surface or even a bed against a short wall. The owners also took care of the decor.

  • In this case, the owners of a small country house have equipped it with a spacious bedroom. The shed has enough windows to provide good natural light to the room.

  • A bed under the ceiling - it can be like this. On particularly hot days, the presence of stuffiness cannot be ruled out, but it is not at all necessary that this will be the case. In any case, I would like to note the rational use of space.

  • Well zoned, small, cozy room. There are at least 2 sleeping places. The kitchen looks quite spacious, and the dining table has been moved to the living area.

Often a purchased summer cottage plot is part of a field with meter-long weeds. To fight the “wild flora” you need some kind of shelter - to rest, gain strength for a new stage of the fight. Building a house in an open field is not the smartest idea, which is why many people are thinking about temporary housing. If you like comfort even in the field, a two-room country house with a toilet and shower is one of the best options.

Materials

Although there are many building materials on the market, only the lightest, most practical and inexpensive ones are used in the construction of cabins. Many people initially consider dacha cabins as a temporary option - plans are underway to build a house. But the structure often “grows” so firmly that it is either made into a guest house, or a summer kitchen, or used in some other way. So, even if you decide that this is only a temporary option, choose materials and sizes based on greater convenience.

Wood

Most often, cabins in our country are built from wood. They are not so cold in winter, and not so hot in summer. Wooden buildings naturally maintain the required level of humidity. That’s why we feel more comfortable in wooden cabins.

The advantage of wooden cabins is their low weight. Such structures even stand on truck tires or building blocks stacked on top of each other. And they feel fine. In general, a wooden country house with a toilet and shower is a good option.

A wooden country house with a toilet and shower is the most common option

But in order for the structure to look normal, the wood requires regular maintenance. It is necessary to renew the protective and decorative coating. What it will be - paint, varnish, wood oil - is up to you, but you need to renew the coating. Frequency: once a year, once every two to three years. It depends on the type of coverage. Oils are usually renewed every two to three years, paint and varnish - once a year or two. Such a need is far from pleasing. Firstly, the cost of varnish/paint, and secondly, the time required to remove the old coating and apply a new one (there is no need to remove oils, in this case the coating is simply renewed).

A significant disadvantage of wood is its fire hazard. And it’s difficult to fight this. Of course, before construction, the material is impregnated with fire retardants, but if it burns, then even this will not save.

Metal

Metal cabins are fireproof, but living in them is uncomfortable. Firstly, you need a ventilation system. It is not always possible to ventilate the cabin by opening the doors and windows. Therefore, you need to take care of ventilation. It’s not difficult to do it in such a small building, but it does involve additional hassle and expense.

In addition, as the temperature drops, it becomes very cold in a metal cabin, and it is difficult to heat it - the metal quickly releases heat into the space. But in summer it is too hot in such a building. The sun is heating up the surface and the stuffiness is incredible. Even if it's not hot outside yet. You can partially save the situation by pulling an awning, but this solution will only help partially. The sun will still warm it, albeit to a lesser extent.

Another disadvantage of such cabins for a summer residence is their large mass. You can’t put it on cinder blocks - you need a more solid base that can withstand the weight of metal and the furnishings inside. In addition, it also needs to be painted. Because without paint, metal rusts, and because appearance is also important.

Other options

Wood and metal are far from the only materials from which you can make a summer cottage. Instances made from other materials are rarely found on sale, but you can build them with your own hands in a few days. If you have experience, this will not be difficult for you, but if you don’t have experience, this will be it. A good workout that will come in handy in the future. If you are not going to build a house with your own hands, then you will have to do this, that, or something else on the site. And the builders will have to fix the mistakes themselves. So that's a good start.

So, here’s what else you can use to make a change house for your dacha:

Prefabricated structures are made from these materials. Living in a frame structure will be more comfortable. If you plan to use the change house on a long-term basis, then this is the best option. If, after the construction of the house, the change house is reclassified as a utility room, your choice is sandwich panels.

Country two-room cabin with toilet and shower: dimensions and layout

The best option for a garden plot or cottage is a two-room country house with a toilet and shower. In fact, this is already a small country house. And in terms of functionality, and in terms of space, and in terms of ease of use. And here’s the thing, if you order a house of the same area, it will cost you 25-30% more than a change house. These are some interesting features.

Sizes: which ones are more convenient?

The normal width of a cabin is 3-3.5 meters. With this width, the rooms are functional and comfortable. Even if the length of the cabin is 6 meters, you can fence off a toilet with a shower in the middle part, and place rooms on the sides.

The change house with shower and toilet is convenient - all the necessary premises are under this roof. You especially appreciate this during rain, early spring or autumn. But if the length of the trailer is only 6 meters, the rooms are narrow - two meters or so.

It will be more spacious in the rooms if the length of the change house is 8 meters. The width does not need to be increased. Then the rooms will be approximately 9 square meters each, which is already enough for a comfortable life. That is, a two-room country house with a toilet and shower should ideally have a size of 3*8 meters.

Optimal sizes: based on economic feasibility

So, we have decided that the minimum dimensions of a two-room country house with a toilet and shower are 3*6 meters, conveniently 3*8 meters. But there are some nuances.

Look, in its “pure” form, taking into account the thickness of the walls inside the room, it will be about 2.5-2.6 meters wide and 2.8-2.6 meters long, with the trailer being eight meters long. Agree, this is not enough. You can only put a bed in such a room. There will be a very narrow passage between the wall and its back that cannot be used in any way. There will also be a very small area in front of the bed (one-and-a-half), into which you can squeeze a small bedside table/chest of drawers and a chair.

Change house 8*4 - enough space for comfortable living arrangements

So, if possible, it is advisable to increase the external width to 3.5 meters. From an operational point of view, this is convenient, but economically unprofitable. It's not just about increasing the amount of materials required. It will increase, but not very significantly. The point is the large number of scraps that will result. The standard length of boards and beams is 6 meters. So the optimal size is 3 by 6 meters. But, as we found out, it is not very convenient. And with a change house length of 8 meters, pieces of 4 meters each remain. So the second optimal size that a two-room country house with a toilet and shower should have is 8 * 4 meters. In this case, the amount of trimming will be very small. So the costs won't increase too much.

If this option seems too big to you, you can go the other way - buy some of the building materials in small sizes - 2 meters each or in the pieces that you need. They are available at every sawmill and since they are a re-grade, they cost significantly less per cube. So increasing the area can also help you reduce the cost of building materials.

The minimum dimensions of a cabin with shower and toilet are 4*.5 m

Wide cabins have only one drawback: they can only be transported with the permission of the traffic police:

  • If the width is up to 2.55 meters, no permit is required.
  • From 2.55 m to 3.50 m - written permission.
  • More than 3.55 meters - accompanied by a traffic police car.

This may concern you only if you are going to transport it somewhere or are planning to buy a ready-made one. If you build it or order it from a company, this should not worry you.

Layout option for two-room cabins

One of the popular options for using a two-room change house for a summer residence is to make a kitchen and a dining room in one room. Moreover, they make a semi-partition that nominally separates the kitchen and living room. Good doors and, possibly, an insulated partition are needed where habitable spaces are separated from the vestibule and shower and toilet. A little later it will become clear why.

Country two-room change house with toilet and shower 3*8 meters. The layout is a traditional vest. It's hard to heat it up

If you plan to use the change house in the spring or autumn, and 1-2 people will live, the best layout is if the entrance is not in the middle (the so-called vests), but on one of the edges, as in the photo below.

Why is this layout better? This makes it easier to heat the rooms. In spring and autumn you cannot do without heating. In a vest, you can heat only one room with one stove. Keeping the doors open is not the best idea, since the heat will escape, because a vestibule with open doors does not serve its purpose. So it turns out that only one of the rooms will be habitable.

But there are other options:

  • in cold weather, use one of the rooms as a refrigerator, pantry, warehouse;
  • install two heat sources - one in each room;
  • make an external vestibule.

The advantages of the above layout are that almost the entire cabin can be heated with one stove. Only the bathroom remains cold. But a small volume is easier to heat. Before taking a shower, you can briefly turn on a portable heat source to warm the room. And if you heat the water using a wood-burning titanium, then it will heat the room.

Cabins with a veranda

It is very convenient if there is a clean covered area in front of the change house - a covered veranda. Here you can work or relax while it rains, here you can put a table for eating. It's really very convenient. So it’s better to plan everything at once and make the foundation for the veranda at the same time as the house. and later, but it will cost more. The foundation will be separate, unconnected, and you will have to think about how to connect the roof.

You can do even more - there is never too much space on the veranda

It is better to immediately consider the veranda along its entire length - from edge to edge on the south or east side. Even better is to make it in the shape of the letter “L”, covering two adjacent sides. Believe me, there is never too much space. By the way, part of the veranda can be sewn up, doors installed and used as a pantry/dressing room. The areas inside the cabin are quite small, so finding a place to store things is problematic. And this way you don’t waste space inside, and things/tools are accessible.

Part of the veranda can then be glazed and the kitchen can be moved here to create a dining room. This is exactly what happens over time. It’s really convenient, and as you settle into your dacha cabin, you’ll gradually enlarge, add, and complete it.

Selection of foundation and site preparation

The choice of foundation, of course, depends on the type of soil and the depth of soil freezing in a particular region. But cabins - even garden and country houses - are considered temporary buildings. Let them stand “temporarily” for ten years or more... Therefore, the approach here is not the same as when choosing a foundation for a house. One of the main criteria is low costs. Less is better. It is from this point of view that we will consider this issue.

Building blocks stacked on a prepared pillow are a simple version of the foundation for a change house

Foundation for a change house

As already mentioned, the cabins even stand on tires and building blocks or pillars of bricks stacked on top of each other. They really stand, as they have a small mass, and, due to the mobility of the frame structure, they can withstand slight distortion (sometimes they can withstand noticeable distortion). But, if you do it (necessarily on a disconnected foundation), be prepared for the fact that every spring you will have to do something - it either lags behind, then rises, then falls (in relation to the house),

If you like “thoroughly and forever”, make a screw or pile foundation right away. For light construction this is an ideal stable option. It is not suitable only for quicksand or rocky soils. But on rocky soils there will also be stones, and with quicksand it’s a completely different story - there’s just a slab without any options.

And this is - for those who like a safety margin for everyone - a pile foundation with a metal pipe piping

Now for the number of supports. A two-room country house with a toilet and shower 3*6 meters can stand on 4 supports in the corners. For longer ones - 7-8 meters - you also need supports in the middle of the long side. Total - 6 pieces. It makes no sense to install additional ones - the load-bearing capacity of these is more than enough.

Site preparation

This stage is often forgotten or considered unimportant. In vain. The costs are not that high, but the benefits are obvious. What need to do:

Why do all this? So that a swamp does not form under the change house and plant and animal remains contained in the fertile layer do not begin to rot. The phenomenon is very unpleasant and, after the change house is installed and lived in, difficult to eliminate. It is better to eliminate the possibility itself than to deal with the consequences.

The second advantage of installing a change house on a prepared site is that there is less chance that it will “lead” during spring heaving. This possibility will not bother you unless you have installed the change house on piles (screw or poured). All other “lightweight” options are susceptible to this phenomenon.

Arrangement of the change house inside

A very important point is how to decorate the inside of the change house. I want it to be beautiful, practical and inexpensive. It’s worth saying right away that finding a suitable option is difficult. Some of the requirements usually have to be neglected. The options are:

Other finishing options for country or garden cabins are almost never used.

Alexandra's story:

We started building a country house by purchasing two cabins. More precisely, metal houses 200x300 cm, which were previously used in some children's camp as summer housing for children.

They were equipped with only two beds. We believed that the houses were quite suitable for storing tools, forced overnight stays and rest. But then we had no idea that they would become the basis for another “house”!

It was planned to build a bathhouse, a main house and a guest house on the site.

At first we were not building a dacha, but a house for permanent residence. And for the first year after the construction of the guest house was completed, we actually lived there. With a small child! The ecology is beautiful, the places are beautiful, a wonderful sanatorium across the lake, my home village is 5 minutes away... But almost all the residents of our village visit their homes sporadically, like summer residents. In winter it turns out somehow dull and wild. Plus, my husband’s work is tied to the city and frequent trips back and forth became tiresome - we returned to the apartment. My child and I now spend the summer in the village and almost every weekend.

Let's return to the construction site. The idea to use cabins (they are made of sandwich panels on a metal frame) as the basis for a guest house arose by chance. I wanted to build it quickly and as economically as possible. Once the idea was sketched out on paper, the rest was a matter of technique.

Two cabins were placed in the corners, the walls were formed by lining with powerful timber and covered with rough boards. The double wooden floor was insulated with wood chips and sprinkled with lime. The same insulation was done on the walls from the inside.

The second level of the house was again “provided” by cabins, two I-beams and one channel. Our cabins connected them together. The roof was insulated with mineral wool. On the outside, the walls were covered with wind- and moisture-proof film, insulated with polystyrene foam (50 mm) and covered with blockhouse.

We bought the windows at a sale with a 30-40% discount and already made openings for them. Some of them (for example, balcony doors) hit the mark according to the plan, but attic doors would probably now be looked for by others.

For heating, we purchased a Gomel fireplace stove with a water circuit and an electric boiler.

Later, a balcony and a terrace were added to the house.

Now - more about how everything works inside.

In one of the former cabins (now a small room 200x300 cm) there is a bathroom, in the other there is a children's room for my daughter.

The remaining spaces (kitchen, dining and living areas) are combined, except for a small dressing room on the second level.

For interior decoration we used wood, MDF panels and linoleum. The cabinets, kitchen furniture, and cabinets in the bathroom are made by hand. Large chain lights above the dining area are made from decorative candle boxes.

My husband and I made the items for the terrace, except for the sun loungers. For example, the yellow floor lamp is a drum from a washing machine on a plastic pipe, and the panel of four pictures on the wall is made of ceramic tiles left over from apartment renovations.

Sewing of the spotted covers was ordered from a seamstress, but I made the green pillows myself. The yellow painting is a piece of fiberboard painted with leftover paint from a floor lamp and a pattern of different laces.

The flower pots on the windowsill are old bulk food cans, painted silver and filled with pebbles mixed with glue and “plants” cut out of children’s plastic cubes. My husband made the lamps himself! As, indeed, the table (the base is welded from a pipe) and benches. The coffee table is a wooden tabletop and legs from an old rusty metal stool. We got the double-glazed windows in aluminum frames on the terrace for free, they were used.

Of course, our house still needs some improvements. There are no baseboards, no corners here and there, the finishing is not finished... However, our experience, perhaps, will be useful for someone.

It is possible to build a livable house in many ways, but, of course, only if you have a great desire!

Non-standard large windows will help alleviate the lack of space and solve the problem with lighting. In a well-lit space, furniture will look more solid.

Sliding structures that can serve as both a window and a door will fit especially well here. On a warm summer day, the house will turn into an outdoor veranda.

And with the help of an accordion-folding door, you can open the facade completely.

If you do not want to deprive yourself of space along one of the walls, give preference to narrow vertical windows. They easily cope with the task of increasing space and look unusual.

Floor-to-ceiling windows deprive you of privacy if your house is visible from the neighboring plot. This problem can be solved with long windows placed under the ceiling. Windows around the perimeter of the entire space will also help to visually raise the ceiling.

A gable roof can be turned into a large window by glazing one slope. For a flat roof, skylights or skylights are suitable.

A louvre grill will help cover transparent walls.

Built in furniture

From inexpensive material like plywood or pine boards, you can create a set of transformable furniture. A folding table, beds with drawers, built-in storage niches - such design solutions will help save space without giving up important functional pieces of furniture.

Bed on the mezzanine

Finding a place for a bed when space is limited can be a lot of fun. A bold but successful solution is to raise the bed to the ceiling using a mezzanine.

To reduce the effect of ceiling pressure, make it or arrange cozy windows on the mezzanine.

In rooms with a flat ceiling, you can arrange the second floor like a bunk bed.

Place a small wardrobe on the mezzanine.

Drawers under the bed

The bed combines well with wardrobes. Storage drawers can be located inside the podium bed.

A single bed can be easily organized on a storage chest. You can make a mattress for such a bed yourself from foam rubber.

Bed on a dresser

Experiment and abandon stereotypes - you can raise the bed even higher, creating space for spacious drawers. For lifting, build special ledges or provide a stool.

Hammock

As an additional element of the interior, you can store a hammock in the house. Your friend can spend the night on it, and you can take a break from working on the site.

Window sill table

The compact table can simultaneously serve as a window sill. You will be able to cook in daylight, and the window will look neat.

A small dining table can also be located along the wall. In this case, it will be better if it is attached directly to the wall without legs. The design will look lighter and take up less space.

Shelves in the table

Additional storage space can be created under the surface of the desk. The double tabletop with crossbars allows for narrow shelves for storage.

Side table

A small wooden table in the shape of the letter “P” turned on its side on wheels can be used as a dining table or coffee table, placed next to a sofa or bed.

Folding furniture

Folding furniture also seems to be created for such spaces. The folding chair can be stored hanging on the wall. The door from a small wall cabinet, when folded back, turns into a dining table. From the same series of items is a sofa that turns into a double bed.

A more unusual solution is a folding bed like a shelf in a compartment.

Shelves under the ceiling

A mezzanine shelf will help you put away large things somewhere. In rooms with low ceilings, shelves or cabinets raised to the ceiling are more relevant. Shelves with books on the pediment even create a certain decorative effect.

A narrow and long shelf can be stretched along the entire wall.

Use your imagination: shelves can be placed in the corners or even in the floor of the house.

Finishing effects

Some techniques allow you to visually expand the space. Try finishing the floor, walls, ceiling and furniture fronts the same way - the boundaries between the planes will disappear and the room will seem more spacious.

Use curtains: they will serve as doors, partitions and insulate the room.

Stove in a change house

Here you can create a real fireplace. It will make housing suitable not only in summer, but also in winter.

Find a place for a bathroom

If there is no sewerage system, you can use a dry closet by placing it at the end behind the partition.

Small sink models are suitable for organizing washing. The shower room is decorated with tiles, mosaics or metal sheets. There is also a lot of room for imagination here. If desired, you can even fit a bathroom into the space if, for example, you install it in the floor and hide it with a folding hatch floor.

Caravan for a summer residence. Converting a construction trailer into a summer cottage.

The main advantages of such a special structure as a construction shed are the following:

  • the ability to quickly pay back, despite the fact that the price of the product is relatively low, due to its low cost;
  • spacious, with standard dimensions of 6 x 2.3 m, it can easily accommodate eight people who do not create problems for each other;
  • subject to rapid heating. Due to the use of high-quality insulation materials, one electric heater is enough to heat the room even in fairly cold weather;
  • Despite its spacious dimensions, it weighs only 1.5 tons, which makes it quite mobile, while movement around the construction site or transportation to another site is carried out with the participation of a crane.

Proper installation of the cabin is of great importance, because... It is necessary to provide for free drainage of rainwater from the roof. It is also necessary to ensure that falling snow does not linger on the roof of the room. This structure, if installed correctly, will last a long time.

Installation of a construction shed

When deciding to install such a special structure as a construction shed, it is necessary to take into account a large number of factors. First of all, the intended purpose of the cabin, how it is used at this construction site.

If it is used as a place for temporary storage of construction equipment or a warehouse for consumable construction materials, a place for housing construction workers on site, then it can be installed away from transport access roads, away from the place where construction work is being carried out.

If they are used as a meeting room for specialists and engineering personnel, as well as a building for a watchman at a construction site, it is advisable to place these cabin trailers near the facility under construction in such a way that safety precautions are observed and there are no access roads nearby ways.

Directly at the installation site of the cabin on the construction site, it is necessary to select a relatively flat place. After this, foundation blocks must be placed in this place using a crane so that the construction shed from below is ventilated and is not subject to rotting due to high humidity.

It is important to calculate the correct slope of the roof so that excess moisture after rain and snow does not linger on the roof and create preconditions for roof leaks. The site for the installation of this structure must be cleared of construction debris, bushes and trees, and the earth must be scattered under a site of approximately the same level. A change house installed on a flat surface will serve you for a long time and will not cause any trouble.

First of all, you need to prepare a flat surface of the ground, remove bushes, stumps, construction debris and other objects that may interfere with the unloading and installation of the cabin. If the ground in the area designated for the shed has bumps or unevenness, they need to be leveled with a shovel. After preparing the site for the construction, you can begin installing the shed at the construction site.

When installing a change house, it is necessary to observe safety precautions, as when carrying out cargo lifting operations. Indeed, to install this much-needed structure, a cargo crane is also involved, which performs its functions of moving cargo. If all installation and installation requirements are met to the end, the change house will save you from bad weather and frost more than once.

Cottage in the country

The majority of our compatriots do not have country houses and cottages; the majority are content with fairly simple buildings. These are either houses in the village, or cabin trailers on country houses allocated by the state on six hundred square meters. But our fellow tribesmen quickly adapt to the environment; they adapted construction sheds for use in their dachas (gardens), which, due to their versatility, fit perfectly into the dacha yard.

Indeed, given the adaptability of these buildings to a rather ascetic lifestyle, Russians even find some comfort in these premises. Whatever you say, change houses are a really good solution to the problem for summer residents whose land plot is located far from civilization.

A number of companies that produce these special structures have even begun to produce construction cabins, giving them the name “country houses”, while carrying out some reconstruction. Thus, in Ufa they produce and sell trailers that can be easily adapted into a country house. What are the main advantages of ethical cottages? These buildings:

  • are affordable and have a guaranteed period of reliability, which will allow them to serve their owners for a long time, and for various purposes;
  • heat up quickly in the cold season. This is due to the use of good insulation materials. Even in severe frost, they are warmed up with a simple electric heating device in a very short time;
  • despite its small size, the change house is very spacious and takes up little space on the site;
  • after the need for use as a living space expires, they can easily be transformed into utility rooms and even into a bathhouse.

When discussing such a topic as the installation of a change house, it should be noted that if you have a truck crane, its installation will not take much time if the place has been previously prepared and there is a workforce for its installation.

How to increase the service life of a cabin?

An important condition for the reliability and durability of such special structures as construction cabins is not only high-quality raw materials, but also other factors that are important when installing these office premises. The following requirements apply to work such as installation of a cabin:

  • the site for the installation of this special structure must be level, unnecessary objects must be removed, which will facilitate the installation of proper drainage from the roof of the structure, the correct ground level will allow the installation of door and window openings without backlashes and distortions. This will ensure a strong seal when closing windows and doors.
  • After preliminary preparation of the site, the construction shed must be installed using structures such as building concrete blocks, which, being above ground level, will create an air space between the base of the structure and the ground. This will protect the cabin trailers from rotting and dampness.

When choosing a company that designs and produces cabins, you need to know that high-quality materials, for example, lining, were used when performing work on the cladding of the structure. Thus, ordinary Russian-made lining is made from wooden blanks with natural moisture, which you will inevitably feel when you run your hand over it, and a wet mark will remain on your hand. If the change house is lined with eurolining, which has been carefully selected and dried on an industrial scale, then there is no reason to worry about its preservation. Dried lining is light in color and retains the smell of wood shavings.

To protect wooden cladding products from climatic conditions, dynamic damage and fire, a special impregnating composition is used, which must be applied to the entire cladding of a structure such as a cabin for its safety. This impregnating composition is not afraid of moisture and protects the wood surface from harmful influences for a long time. All this work can be done independently or entrusted to specialists. The cost of this service is inexpensive.

Application of the above requirements will greatly preserve the external and internal coating of your cabin without spoiling its exterior.

Block containers

Modular containers are often used by construction companies as an auxiliary structure, such as construction cabins, which are given great functions at a construction site.

These metal structures have an advantage over wooden buildings, since the installation of metal cabins is much simpler. In addition, they have such qualities as reliability, durability and ease of transportation.

Advantages and disadvantages of block containers

These metal prefabricated structures are constantly used not only for housing builders as premises such as cabin trailers, but also for the following purposes:

  • first aid stations at a construction site;
  • sanitary and hygienic modules, toilets and baths at a construction site or in a country house;
  • metal sheds for various household needs (warehouses, premises for storing consumables, etc.);
  • a food block room with a kitchen compartment with electricity and water supply for the construction team;
  • change houses for placing auxiliary equipment (diesel power plants, boiler rooms, compressor and pumping stations) with supplied electricity;
  • sentry points equipped with alarms and electricity;
  • premises for holding meetings of engineering and technical personnel of a construction site;
  • refrigerated containers with power supply.

Also, construction cabins can be used as a foreman’s room.

Additionally, block containers are used in private business. In this case, office premises are assembled from two or three block containers, which are in no way inferior in comfort to permanent buildings, and the customer can vary the required area of the premises.

Block containers are distinguished by their strength, reliability and manufacturability. Their use is based on the possibility of using them both individually and as part of a modular group of several structures

But the main positive feature of block containers is mobility. Their installation consists of assembling ready-made metal parts, disassembling is done in the reverse order.

Mobile home on wheels

Mobile cabins on wheels are an excellent option for temporary stay in an area where there are no conditions for the normal functioning of human activity. When changing a construction site, you just need to tow this trailer to the new construction site.

As a rule, cabin trailers are manufactured as transportable premises weighing about 2.5 tons. After the structure is manufactured, it is placed on a wheeled or sleigh chassis, depending on the time of year or area of use.

Structures such as construction cabins on wheels are installed on a chassis where wide-profile rubber is used as the wheel travel. Also, construction cabins are equipped with 4 supports and a basket for a spare tire, which come complete with the manufacturer. The chassis of the mobile structure is equipped with a brake system for one axle.

Mobile construction sheds are also equipped with electrical wiring and basic living conditions - a table and a washbasin with an electric boiler. This special building has been additionally insulated with mineral wool, which will ensure heat retention in the winter.

These cabins protect against the intrusion of uninvited guests - they have the opportunity to install additional means of protecting property, such as bars. There is an opportunity to equip sanitary and hygienic premises. Based on the area of the room, you can reconstruct the interior that is convenient for you.

Manufacturers of such mobile structures, as a rule, offer several options for equipping the chassis, while installation of a change house to install the chassis is not required; they come from the manufacturer in a ready-to-use state.

How to adapt a construction shed for a country house?

If there is such a special structure as a construction shed, it is possible to adapt it for a residential building on a summer cottage. In this case, ordinary sheds are used on a metal platform with dimensions of 2.75 x 7 m. The task is to use a structure such as a construction shed and make a country house out of it. An operation such as the installation of a change house has already been completed; all that remains is to convert it to the option of using it as a summer house building.

The first thing that is done in such cases is to decorate the exterior of the building, covering it with clapboard. It is advisable to treat the wood with a special compound that protects it from the harmful effects of climatic conditions and fire.

A porch is made and installed for this structure, whether it be cabin trailers or other special structures. Then they decide on the roof of the future country house. The simplest option is to install a flat roof, but it is necessary to take into account the issues of water collection and snow retention. The centerline of the roof in such a structure usually runs along the long side of the cabin, which is installed accordingly, taking into account the landscape. This is the simplest list of works.

Of course, it can be increased, which will undoubtedly affect the design of the room for the better. For example, if the axial direction of a gable roof is chosen in the cross section of the building, then the appearance of the structure will change dramatically.

With an increase in the building area with the addition of a small room measuring 3 x 3 meters and the design of a covered veranda, the change house turns into a miniature dacha, and it becomes unclear what served as the basis for the creation of a dacha building.

When installing a country house, we use a foundation made of pillars - nine pillars with a diameter of 30 cm. The basis for using a frame extension was the design solution for decorating a country house in the chalet style, which is ensured by the use of stone and wooden structures and products.

This is how an original dacha building turns out from a simple change house, and a person who was not present at the initial construction of the dacha building will find it difficult to say what was the basis for this dacha structure.

Country house from a decommissioned trailer video

A country trailer is a model of a mini-house, which serves not only as housing, but also as a warehouse for tools. Such trailers are often called change houses or block containers and are used not only as full-fledged housing, but also as a kitchen, utility room or even a bathhouse.

Advantages of using cabins in the country

The advantages of such lightweight structures include the following factors:

  • Light weight ensures ease of transportation of this design;
  • Such small buildings are quite easy to build yourself;
  • Practicality and reliability;
  • Low price of the finished product.

Types of country trailers

Among modern lightweight structures, the following types of mobile products are distinguished, which city dwellers are happy to make into their country houses:

  1. Wooden cabin.

Container for the garden

If you are eager to equip a house on a purchased country plot as quickly as possible, then this type of construction will be the best choice. The only thing that will need to be taken into account when making such a purchase is the delivery of the container to the place of its installation.

Advice. The container is delivered to the site by a special crane and it will be necessary to provide access for such equipment.

Using containers you can even build a two-story building or a long house. If you purchase several designs and use your imagination, you can get a structure that is quite original.

The purchase of such a house is associated with the following conditions and necessities:

  • Before purchasing, choose the installation location;
  • Measure the area carefully;
  • Containers are installed on flat areas, therefore, if an area with hills and depressions is selected, they must be leveled even before the container is installed;
  • Check the levelness of the area using a building level;
  • After installation, the container will need to be painted and insulated if necessary.

Caravan

Country houses trailers are one of the most popular options for temporary suburban housing. The instructions for preparing a site for installing such a product contain the same conditions and recommendations as for installing a container.

Wooden cabin

This kind of country house is considered the most expensive, due to the high cost of building materials for its construction. But in contrast to the high price, it should be noted that the construction of such a house will not take much of your time.

Construction of this trailer

The answer to the question of how much a trailer for a dacha costs depends directly on whether you will build it yourself or arrange the purchased structure.

But if you decide to build a structure of this kind yourself, you must understand the basic rules:

  1. The proposed change house must have minimum overall dimensions;
  2. The house should be simple.

When taking on such construction, you can build on the basic rules and technology of building ordinary houses.

But the following factors must be taken into account in the work:

  • The small size of the building requires the construction of a simple roof;
  • For the construction of such a facility, any building materials can be used;

Advice. Frame construction would be ideal for such a structure. Covering a country house of this type with clapboard is also an excellent solution.

  • In order for the floor covering to remain warm, the building should be raised above the ground and the floor made of wood;
  • In some cases, a cottage trailer can do without a foundation.

Main stages of construction

Wooden trailers for a summer residence are built according to the following step-by-step instructions:

  1. The first thing you need to do is work on the design of the future change house;
  2. Next, you should begin leveling the area on which the trailer will be installed;
  3. Purchase of building materials:
  • Bars;
  • Fastening elements;
  • Polyethylene;
  • Ruberoid;
  • Foundation blocks;
  • Roofing materials;
  • Uncut and tongue-and-groove boards;
  • Insulation materials, if necessary (foil, glass wool, polystyrene foam).
  1. Draw the boundaries of the building on the site;
  2. Laying the foundation using blocks that must be installed on all sides of the building and in the center. Due to the fact that the house will be simple, it is enough to simply raise it above ground level by 30 centimeters;
  3. Foundation waterproofing. We cover the foundation blocks with roofing felt;
  4. We create a base by fixing wooden beams on top;
  5. We install frame beams to the base in a vertical direction;

Advice. Fasteners should be created using jumpers and crossbars.

  1. We build a roof on the frame. It is better to make the roof from slate, having previously covered the structure with polyethylene for waterproofing. You can also use metal tiles or galvanized sheet metal;

  1. Then the walls and floor are created. The most economical option would be to cover the walls with clapboard on the outside and with plasterboard on the inside;
  2. We insulate the structure;
  3. Windows and doors are installed and communication systems are installed.

Country house from a construction trailer

Let's find out how to make a country house out of a trailer? If you already have a metal construction shed, then the process of arranging it and adapting it for a summer cottage will not be so difficult. The main task of this process is to turn a standard trailer into a cozy but modest home for a summer resident.

Let's imagine that the trailer has already been brought to the site, and all that remains is to bring it into the appropriate form.

Note! The foundation for installing the trailer must be pillars with a diameter of at least 30 cm, in the amount of 9 pieces.

The instructions for arranging a metal trailer consist of the following steps:

  • First of all, take care of the exterior of the product by covering it with clapboard. Wooden lining for facade finishing is suitable only after the necessary processing;

Advice. The answer to the question of how to cover the lining at the dacha can be specialized antiseptic impregnations that can protect the wood from destruction under the influence of the external environment.

  • The trailer cottage must certainly be equipped with a convenient porch, which should be built at this stage of the work;
  • Next is the roofing work. The choice of roofing material should be made taking into account water collection and snow retention. The centerline of the roof is usually along the long wall of the trailer.

This list of arrangement works is minimal. Of course, you can increase it several times, which will certainly have a positive effect on the design of the building. So, for example, if the axis of the roof is not along, but across the structure, its appearance will change dramatically.

Thus, from the most ordinary construction trailer you can build an original and modest country house, and people who have not observed the stages of construction will have difficulty guessing what became the basic element for such a structure.

Conditions for living in a country house

Of course, each person has his own requirements and ideas about what living conditions should be like in a country house. Especially when you consider that a temporary structure on the site may well become permanent, so you should think through life in advance when living outside the city.

What might you need for a comfortable life? Of course, in such conditions there is no need for a special scale, but there are simply mandatory needs.

Furniture

For a normal life you will need:

  • To eat food you will need something that can be taken outside;
  • To store things you will need a bedside table or shelf;
  • For rest and sleep you will need beds, and you need to purchase them in accordance with the number of residents.

Water

Without water it will be difficult, so it is necessary to install a water supply system. Moreover, it is advisable to carry it directly into the house only if you plan to constantly stay at the dacha. But if the structure is temporary, then you can get by with a cooler with drinking water.

Drain or sewer

If you don't have running water, you can get by with a small container to wash and rinse your hands.

But if there is running water, then you will have to arrange everything completely:

  • Pipe laying;
  • Installation of a septic tank or.

Finally

Drawing a conclusion from everything read above, you can be convinced that the construction of temporary housing on a summer cottage is not a difficult matter. The main thing is to immediately decide on a work plan that takes into account all your requirements and wishes. Then all that remains is to implement your plans strictly according to plan.

And the video in this article will allow you to learn even more about how to make a country trailer a cozy and comfortable temporary home on a country site.

There are many situations in which temporary housing may be needed. When planning to build a dacha or other facilities, it is necessary to think about accommodation for workers. Renting rooms can be quite expensive. Therefore, a good solution would be to equip trailers for housing.

The purpose of such structures can be very different. They are equipped with a dining room, rest rooms, storage rooms, etc. Today, such trailers are even used as stalls, offices, and security facilities.

general characteristics

Caravans for housing (photo shown below) are a frame structure. Its supports are made of metal profiles. Walls are most often made of wood. The entire structure is covered with facing materials. There can be very different layouts inside the room. Here you can arrange a kitchen, dining room, bedrooms, bathroom, etc. It all depends on the purpose of the building.

The advantages of such housing are the speed of assembly and low cost. The design is lightweight. It can be moved from one place to another if desired. If this is truly temporary housing, it can be given over to other owners over time. For this purpose, the trailer may have wheels.

You can even assemble such a structure with your own hands. If the owners have the appropriate construction skills, as well as enough time, this will be the best option.

Advantages

The construction of cabins is in demand due to a certain set of characteristics of such structures. They have a number of distinctive advantages. The most important advantage of such objects is their low cost. There is even the opportunity to purchase used trailers for housing.

The volume inside with a standard size of 6 by 2.3 m is enough for 8 people to live inside. In operation, this structure also does not cause problems. If you need to heat such a small room, you will only need 1 heater.

If necessary, such a structure can be transported from one place to another. If desired, you can give preference to models with wheels. Stationary varieties, due to their lightness (about 1.5 tons), can be loaded onto a truck and also transported to another location.

A small number of construction operations allows you to build such a structure very quickly. If you want to use it for more than one year, you can equip a stationary facility with a foundation. If all construction requirements are met, the trailer can safely perform its functions for years.

Possible functions of the cabin

When arranging for housing, you should take into account the full range of their purpose. The appearance of the building also depends on this. Initially, such a design is necessary to perform a residential function. Builders (who are building a cottage or dacha), as well as the owners of the site, can live in it. If over time it is planned to move to the main house, then in the future the trailer will be converted into a bathhouse, utility room, barn, etc.

But it happens that the owners of the site live in such cabins for quite a long time. It can easily replace an ordinary house. If its dimensions are enough to spend a full vacation at the dacha, then it is better to give preference to its stationary varieties.

In such rooms you can equip a bathroom, shower, locker room or storage room. In bad weather you can cook food inside. For this purpose, part of the trailer is equipped according to this function.

If desired, such buildings can perform an aesthetic function. Inventory is stored in it, various economic units and communications are hidden.

Main types of structures

There are several main types of trailer designs. They can be wooden or metal. In the latter version, a distinction is made between modular trailers for housing and welded structures.

Wooden cabins are cheaper and environmentally friendly. But their service life is much shorter. Wood is susceptible to temperature, moisture and the activity of various living creatures. It is easier to transport such an object, since its total weight will be relatively small. But during transportation there is a possibility of damage to structural elements. Therefore, transportation is carried out very carefully.

The metal frame is more expensive. But it is also more durable than wood.

For the arrangement of a stationary living space in which it is planned to install light and water, this option will also be preferable. The design can be modular or welded. There are panels that are completely ready for assembly. Using them, you can significantly speed up the installation process.

Layout

If you want to install trailers for housing in your country house, you must first think about their layout. The smallest size of the cabin can be 2.5 by 3.5 m. It contains a storage room and a small place for relaxation.

If the building is supposed to also house a kitchen, then the smallest dimensions of the trailer should be 3 by 4.5 m. Such buildings do not provide a bathroom. He should settle down outside.

Even on a small plot of 6 acres, it is quite possible to place a building 3 by 6 m. A family of 4 people will feel quite comfortable in it. The size of such a structure can be up to 12 m in length. A width of 3 meters is also quite enough.

Preparatory work

If you do not plan to arrange the change house yourself, or if this room is needed only for the temporary stay of builders on the site, you should purchase a trailer for housing on wheels. But if you have the desire and opportunity to build the building yourself, you should familiarize yourself with the process.

Even an inexperienced builder can build a good-quality shed with his own hands. In the process of developing a floor plan, it is necessary to give preference to a simple design. You shouldn’t make a veranda right away. It can be completed over time. It is better to focus all your efforts on building a simple rectangular building.

The area intended for the trailer is cleared and leveled. The smoother the surface, the more durable the structure will be.

Construction of the box

If you plan to assemble trailers for housing for more than one season, you should make it on a frame basis. It can be wooden, but metal is better. It's better to build a foundation. But for a metal frame this step can be bypassed. The foundation piles are wrapped with roofing felt.

Then timber around the perimeter is laid on the piles, and logs are installed. Next, vertical frame elements delimit the walls. After their installation, you can cover the piles with wood or MDF panels. It is better to make the roof from slate. It is also covered with roofing felt. The inside walls can be lined with mineral wool (not polystyrene foam). It is better to make upholstery from boards.

Arrangement

In order to fully operate the trailers for housing, it is necessary to install electricity, running water, and install a sewage system. These systems can be autonomous. But it is quite possible to implement full-fledged communication systems. It all depends on the length of time people stay in it. Heating devices should be provided during the fall and autumn periods.

Having become familiar with this type of construction, such as trailers for housing, you can choose the best option for your site.

Many of you have a small construction trailer at your dachas. The building, at first, is useful, but it is too small and devoid of any comfort.

In order to solve these problems, you can make a small house out of it using various kinds of building materials and a little ingenuity.

It all starts as it should for a house - with the foundation. We, in fact, need to make a second foundation “around” the trailer. We use a standard columnar foundation. After this, we begin to equip the future house with sheathing. The most common thin profile is suitable for this. These are usually used for installing plasterboard boards. The profile is fixed to the walls using perforated plates for self-tapping screws.

Calculating the distance between the wall and the sheathing is simple. The distance should be enough for the window frames to fit. After the sheathing is done, you can assemble the frame of the future roof.

External beauty is restored quickly. PVC panels of the desired color and size are screwed onto the profile. The joints should be sealed with self-adhesive film. The inside walls are covered with clapboard. If you plan to relax at the dacha in winter, then the walls can be lined with insulation. Some trailers are initially insulated with glass wool. So here it depends on the circumstances. We cover all joints and everything that can allow air and moisture to pass through with polyurethane foam.

The porch has its own foundation. In the corners, support pillars for the roof - canopy - are dug in and concreted. The roof and porch frames are connected to each other.

Now you can select the appropriate type of roofing and complete the roof work. Take into account the chimney if you plan to install a potbelly stove in the room.

After this, all that remains is to do the finishing work, supply electricity and remove water supply and sewerage.

Having the required amount of timber and making an additional foundation, such housing can always be expanded to the required area.
