Petal No. 1:

Petal No. 1 is used for the center of the peony. We connect the base of the petal by squeezing the base and fixing it with hot glue, retreating a centimeter from the edge of the base. Wrap the second petal around the first as shown. in the picture Glue it in the very center of the concave shape using hot glue.

Petal No. 2-5:

We continue to glue the formed petals in the direction from the center and spirally around the circumference, using as they emerge from the deep base from the smaller petal size to the larger one. 8 petals of each type. We bend the base of each petal and place it on the backing with hot glue.

Petal No. 6:

We begin to glue these petals (4 - 5 pieces) on the outer side of the base semicircle, slightly stretching the very edge of the petal in the middle. Glue it with hot glue as shown in the picture. The petals are glued slightly overlapping each other.

• thin-leaved;
• drug;
• milky-flowered;
• Wittman;
• Mlokosevich.

• hemispherical - with narrow and strongly dissected inner and wide outer petals;
• pink-shaped - as a rule, they have flowers of a somewhat flattened shape, consisting of compactly collected narrow inner and wide outer petals;
• semi-rose-shaped - very similar to the previous type, differing only in the presence of a small number of stamens in the center;
• crowned peonies are the most complex peonies in flower structure: wide petals are located in the first outer single row, then narrow ones; the core consists of wide petals raised in the form of a crown.

Features of the material

Initially, crinkled or, as it is more commonly called, corrugated paper was used as a lining material for hats. Over time, such paper began to be used to make a variety of crafts.

There are several types of it, depending on the degree of compression and the size of the folds. To make peonies, hyacinths, roses and others, so-called crepe paper, velvety, soft and delicate, with fine corrugation, is best suited.

All you need

Before you start making, you need to prepare the following:

Preparatory work

If you decide to make a peony from corrugated paper with your own hands, for greater realism it is better to take white rather than colored paper. The latter can be painted to obtain a naturalistic color of the petals. Food coloring must be diluted in water. To color the inner petals, you can use a more saturated red, and for the outer petals, mix yellow and red. We cut out square blanks from white crumpled paper and carefully immerse them in the prepared dye. When the paper is saturated, take it out and let the excess moisture drain. The resulting blanks can be dried by placing them on a saucer and drying them for 20-30 seconds in the microwave.

Before coloring all the petals, try painting several blanks and see if the proportions of dyes are selected correctly.

Making the core

While the prepared pieces are drying, we make a base on which we will assemble the peony from corrugated paper with our own hands.

1. We collect the core of the flower: we make a ball the size of a walnut from cotton wool or paper.
2. We wrap a wooden skewer or pre-prepared wire with green paper or tape greased with glue.
3. We glue embroidery threads, cut into pieces of 3-5 cm, onto double-sided tape.
4. We attach the resulting blank to the core of the flower - as a result you should get a small yellow brush.

Collecting a flower

Before assembling voluminous peonies from corrugated paper, you need to cut out heart-shaped petals from painted blanks. The internal ones (3-5 cm) should be smaller than the external ones (5-7 cm). To give the petals a more realistic look, use your fingers to stretch the paper both across and lengthwise and give it the necessary rounded shape.

Around the finished core, starting with the inner ones, we glue the petals until the flower reaches the desired size. We carefully straighten them so that the peony made from corrugated paper, created with our own hands, looks somewhat careless, like a real flower.

A simpler option

The method presented above requires perseverance and accuracy, and it is also quite labor-intensive, but there is an easier and simpler way. To do this, you will need several multi-colored pieces of corrugated paper 25-40 cm long, depending on the size and color of the flower you want (for example, pink, purple and orange). To make peony flowers from corrugated paper, follow these steps:

We do it with children

Let's look at another simple way to make a peony from crumpled paper. It is suitable for joint creativity with children. The only materials you will need are brightly colored corrugated paper, wire, scissors and glue.

So let's get started:

• cut out five to seven rectangles measuring 20-25x15 cm from crumpled paper;
• We fold each of them like an accordion, 5-7 folds;
• we assemble the rectangle folded like an accordion in the middle;
• round the petals on both sides of the paper using scissors;
• We carry out all these procedures with each of the prepared rectangles;
• We tie them together with a thin wire;
• cover a wooden skewer or wire with green paper;
• We attach the formed flower to the resulting stem;
• straighten the petals by bending them inward or outward with your fingers.

Thus, it’s quite easy to do it step by step and decorate your home with them or give such an elegant bouquet to your loved ones.

It’s very easy to create a wonderful bouquet of lush paper flowers with your own hands. In this master class you will learn how to make peonies from paper, this most versatile material at hand. If you remember, we recently did one, among which was a peony. Today we will learn how to make this flower from corrugated paper using different methods - simple and not so simple, and we will use ordinary corrugated and crepe paper. What is the difference? I'll tell you now.

Make peonies out of paper? Easily!

So, paper. Do you know why it’s corrugated? Corrugations are folds (in French), many folds that help the sheet material resist deformation and maintain a stable shape (what we need... 🙂). And crepe is the same corrugated paper, only with “softer” characteristics; it is a little denser and more “elastic” than the first.

Let's try to use both types of paper in our master class and describe step by step the entire process of creating a peony flower in different variations.

To make a peony, we will use the simplest and most ordinary corrugated paper, which is sold in any craft store or even in stationery stores. To create a peony, you will need to cut out 6 types of blanks - 12 large petals, 6 medium and 10 small. And also make the middle of the peony from a semicircular fringe and a rolled ball. Cut out a round base from cardboard on which the peony elements will be attached. We cut the upper edge of all petals with small “noodles”.

We bend each petal with our fingers so that it takes on a semicircular curved shape.

First we glue large petals onto the base - 2 rows of 6 pieces, and try to give them the shape of a bowl. Then add a row of medium ones followed by 2 rows of small petals.

We glue the previously made center into the resulting flower and get a beautiful and lush peony flower made of corrugated paper, which can be used to decorate the interior of a room or decorate any product.

Let's look at how to make peonies from crepe paper with your own hands in a flat and volumetric version. The first one will not require much effort and time, but the second one will have to tinker. Let's start with volume.

We will need crepe paper from soft pink to yellow-white and green. We cut out blanks from paper, as shown in the photo - 10-12 pieces of narrow and wide petals for a flower and 2-3 for making leaves.

We bend the middle of the wide petal with our fingers, straightening the folds, and stretch out the upper edge, while simultaneously bending the top to the outside.

Now we take a wire, a tube or any suitable material (if necessary, it must first be wrapped in a strip of green paper or ribbon) and begin to create the middle of the flower. We wrap a small petal around the rod, securing the lower part with a strip of paper. The inside of the peony flower will consist of two rows of five small petals.

In exactly the same way we attach two more rows of 5 large petals. When applying the next petal, you should try to close the seam from the previous petal so that the flower looks like a real one.

When your flower is ready, try to give the petals the desired position with your fingers so that they look beautiful and have the shape of a peony flower or its bud.

Flat peony made of crepe paper

For this MK we will need the following materials:

• crepe paper;
• scissors:
• stapler;
• ruler;
• compass or circle stencil.

Paper peonies: step-by-step instructions

Step 1. Using a ruler, measure 10 cm of crepe paper. Carefully cut the paper using scissors.

Step 2. Unfold the cut roll and begin folding the paper into an accordion shape. We get the following blank.

Step 3. Using a stapler, we fasten all the layers of the “paper accordion” together in the middle. Using a stencil or using a compass, draw a circle.

Step 4. Then carefully cut out the template along the marked lines.

Step 5. Use scissors to cut the outer edge of the round piece. There is no need to make deep cuts, otherwise the petals will turn out fringed.

Step 6. Form a flower bud. We start from the middle, separating each layer of paper separately. Carefully lift the paper up.

Peony flower made from crepe paper is ready! Of course, in this flower you can see a carnation, an aster, and some other flower, but no one can cancel the fantasy, right? 😉

To make your peony more durable, you can use wrapping paper when making a flower; it is much denser and stronger. In addition, the color range of gift wrapping paper is more varied.

A ready-made paper peony flower can be mounted on a stem from a cocktail tube and placed in a vase, or a brooch blank can be attached to it and worn as an original decoration with your favorite dress or suit.

To create a peony from corrugated paper you will need:

Corrugated paper in 2 colors green and pastel pink
watercolor paper or cardboard
wire
padding polyester or cotton wool
glue “Moment crystal”
pencil
pliers
scissors

We make 3 templates of petals of different sizes from cardboard.

To create one flower you will need to cut out from pink corrugated paper: 5 small petals, 9 medium ones, 15 large ones; 1 square measuring 2.5*2.5 cm; a small ball of padding polyester (cotton wool), as well as a ribbon of green paper and wire (of the size you need).

We wrap the padding polyester in a pink square and glue it to the wire, after which we cover the wire with green tape.

Glue the small petals first, then the middle ones. We form a flower by pulling the petals out from the center; you can curl the edges of the petals with a toothpick.

We first pull out the large petals and press the bottom of the petal a little, and only then glue it on, forming a flower. Twist with a toothpick.

After this, we wrap it again with a small piece of green tape to cover the bottom of the petals. Finally, you can cut out leaves from green crepe paper and glue them to the stem of the flower. Peony is ready.

Let's start our master class on peonies. To make one peony flower, we need crepe paper (or corrugated paper) of various colors, copper wire and PVA glue. Also a standard set of tools for working with paper.

Cut a sheet measuring 20cm by 50cm from a roll of crepe (corrugated) paper. Bend it in half lengthwise, the result should be a strip 50cm long and 10cm wide.

Let's prepare a template.

To do this, prepare a circle with a diameter of 9 cm from plain paper, and cut out semicircles with a diameter of 1 cm along its edge, as shown in the photo.

Fold the prepared square sheets of crepe paper in half diagonally. Next, set the template as shown in the photo and cut out the peony leaves according to the template. The result should be 10 pieces of openwork circles.

We make stamens, for which take a piece of crepe paper measuring 2x3cm. From the scraps remaining after making the petals, twist small sticks 1.5 cm long and wrap them in yellow paper as shown in the photo. One flower requires 5 stamens.

Let's start making the center of the peony flower. Take a copper wire 15-20cm long and wrap a piece of paper measuring 1.5x3cm on one side. Glue the stamens in a circle, as shown in the photo.

We begin assembling the petals of the peony flower. Use a needle to make a hole in the center of the prepared circles. Place it on the stem of the flower.

To make a two-color blooming peony we will need:

1. Corrugated paper in 3 colors - pale pink, pink, green.
2. Semicircular or round candy. Here is "Toffy-Cream".
3. Mesh for attaching candy. Can be replaced with transparent film.
4. Floral wire.
5. Double-sided floral tape.
6. Thermal gun with rods.
7. Tape.
8. Pliers.
9. Scissors.
10. Ruler.
11. Threads.

We prepare the wire for attaching the candy. Since the flower is large, we need 2 floral wires 24 centimeters long. The length of the wire depends on the size of your bouquet.

We need to bend the tip of each wire, forming a “loop”, as shown in the photo.

We wrap both wires with double-sided tape for about 2-3 centimeters, starting from our “loops”.

We connect the two wires together and bend the “loops” so that they look in different directions.

We fix the wires together by wrapping them with double-sided tape at the bend of the “loops” and at the end so that they do not dangle.

This is what we got.

We bend the tails of the candy. We apply the wire to the candy and lightly press it, gluing it. This candy has a candy wrapper seam running down the center. Attach the wire perpendicular to the seam, as shown in the photo, so the candy will dangle less.

Place the candy in the center of the mesh. We clamp the mesh at the base of the candy so that it does not move and so that the mesh sticks to the tape. We cut the edges sticking out on both sides at the fold.

We stretch the mesh so that it fits tightly around the candy. Lightly twist the mesh around the wire and secure with tape.

Trim off the excess mesh to create a relatively thin tip.
We wrap the resulting tip with double-sided tape so that the mesh does not stick out or unravel.

Our flower base is ready.

To make a peony, you need to cut out petals of different sizes and colors. For rows 1-4 we take light pink corrugated paper, for rows 5-7 – pink. Our peony will have 7 rows of petals, 5 petals in each row. Each row has its own shape and size.

1st row - petals 3 cm wide, 7 cm high (this is one and a half divisions of corrugated paper);

2nd row – 3cm x 7cm;

3rd row – 4cm X 7cm;

4th row – 4cm X 7cm;

5th row – 8cm X 7cm height;

6th row – 6cm X 7cm;

7th row – 6cm X 7cm;

You can cut strips of the desired width and divide them into 5 equal parts.

To speed up the cutting process, you can take several rectangles at a time, 3 pieces at a time. Just make sure that the divisions on the paper are at approximately the same level. Also try to cut out the petals so that the division of the paper is at the bottom.

Petals numbered 3,5,6,7 have a symmetrical shape, so when cutting them out, fold them in half.

We stretch all the petals. Place your thumbs in the center of the petal and gently pull it to the sides. We need to stretch the center of our petal.

For petals 4,5,7, stretch each half separately. First we stretch one half, then the second. See photo.

Here are our petals ready.

To save time, you can also stretch the petals several at a time. Separately, it is worth stretching only petal No. 4, since it is this petal that can be torn when stretched.

It is better to twist petals 1,3,5,6,7 on both sides. In this case, the skewer should be placed slightly diagonally to the edge of the petal and twisted towards the center.

Twist petal No. 2, placing the skewer parallel to the edge of the petal, as shown in the photo.

Petal No. 3. The wide part is a skewer parallel to the edge of the petal, the narrow part is a skewer obliquely.

This is what happened.

The petals are ready. Now we cut off a rectangle of light pink paper to make the “stamens”.

Dimensions: 13cm width, 8cm height.

Fold the strip like an accordion any number of times. We cut off the corners on both sides so that it looks like a triangle; we do not cut about 1-1.5 cm until the end of the strip.

When unfolded, this part resembles cloves.

We twist our cloves. We bend them inward using scissors or a skewer, giving a more natural look.

We take our candy on a wire and wrap the “stamens” around it. You can stretch the paper as you twist it to wrap it twice.

With one hand we hold the “stamens” tightly so that they do not spread, with the other hand we fix the paper with threads. We wrap it with threads and tighten it, wrap it, and tighten it again. We cut off the excess paper from the tail and wrap it with double-sided tape for better adhesion to the next row of petals.

We lay out the first row of petals around the candy, overlapping each other.

Distribute the petals evenly around the candy. To make it more convenient to collect the petals at the base of the candy, you can cover the petals with one hand and, with the other, more conveniently hold the resulting tail with your fingers.

We fix the ponytail first with threads and then with tape.

Using this principle, we make the next two rows. We begin each row of petals overlapping the last petal of the previous row. After the third row of petals, trim off the excess paper from the tail. We wrap it completely with double-sided tape, capturing a little wire.
